| Susan, I have never really expressed how completely pleased I am with our home décor. Every room you have touched is lovely; every detail special and personal to me. Each room has its own personality. Sometimes, when I am alone in the house, I just roam and absorb the feeling of each space. The colors are so warm and inviting. We wanted casual elegance and you gave us just that. Your artful eye and attention to the tiniest details has our rooms looking beautifully arranged but without that “decorated” look. My 9 year old son has commented on more than one occasion (and just recently) how “nicely the family room turned out.” Once he was sitting on the sofa watching TV with me and stated, “I really like what you did with this room, Mommy.” Well, that is definitely a compliment for you, Susan. Collaborating with you has been fun, shopping simplified, and the results are remarkable. My daughter’s room is feminine and girlish, light and unique. The family room is bright, cozy and functional. The wallpaper in my bedroom makes me feel safe every time I enter. The hallways are artwork. My living room/office is becoming what I dreamed it would be. The art of decorating is bringing to life the environment that our creative spirit yearns for. | Dear Susan, I am sitting in my lovely “new” living room. From my sofa, I can see the dining room, my personal favorite. How do you manage to use so many patterns and tie them together? From my comfortable vantage point, I can see six different patterns – stripes, florals, geometrics! The result is a perfect blend of color and ambiance. My kitchen is beautiful. Two friends have threatened to copy the pattern you suggested for the tile floor. You found the perfect hardware for my lovely cabinets. I can’t wait for the chair cushions and awnings to arrive. I’m delighted that we made an overall plan for the downstairs. The family room and the two bedrooms will look wonderful when we finish. But, don’t think I’ll let you off the hook then. We’ll start on the other bedrooms and the baths. My friends will be calling you. Every person who has visited since we decorated, has admired the rooms. I have really enjoyed working with you. Instead of putting your personal stamp on my home, you pulled my dream rooms from me and created the home I would have created – had I the talent. Please thank Jean-Pierre. | Dear Susan & Jean-Pierre, We are so pleased with out living and dining rooms that I wanted to write and thank you one more time. Susan, in addition to your brilliant expertise with fabrics and color, you have an uncanny way of knowing what it is that your client wants to achieve, but is unable to fully articulate or explain. So many times I would only come up with vague descriptions of the look I wanted to create or the feel I wanted a room to have, and you would deftly put together several fabulous combinations of fabrics and wallcoverings that fit the bill. You took away all of the frustrations of decorating one’s home and left the fun part for me to enjoy. Thank you. We enjoy both rooms every day and marvel at how great they look. When I walked into your studio wondering if I would ever find yellow wallpaper for my kitchen, your assurance and enthusiasm was just what I needed. You created exactly the feeling that I wanted and more – it is a constant source of enjoyment for us. You knew just how to reassure me when I couldn’t envision the effect of the border. I love the colors and all the finishing touches – the rugs, cushions, custom placemats and the artwork. The workmanship is wonderful. The pillows in the family room and the chairs in the living room all show how well you perceived what our tastes are, providing beautiful fabrics that bring everything together.
